About Us
We are the Holly family, born and raised in Soldotna, Alaska, where family is at the heart of everything we do. Our home is full of life with three boys, four horses, and our girl Freya, who plays a big role in both our daily lives and our kennel.
Living in Alaska has shaped who we are and how we raise our dogs. We spend our summers fishing, trail riding, and enjoying all the outdoor adventures this beautiful state has to offer. Our dogs are raised right alongside our family—surrounded by children, animals, and an active lifestyle—helping them grow into confident, well-rounded companions.
Our Story
Birch and Bullies Kennel was built on family, passion, and a deep love for the American Bully breed. Born and raised in Soldotna, Alaska, we set out to create something that truly reflects our values—strong family roots, responsible breeding practices, and producing dogs with sound temperaments and solid structure.
Our journey began at home, where our dogs are raised as part of our family, not kept in kennels. Surrounded by our three boys, our horses, and an active Alaskan lifestyle, our dogs experience real life every day. From time spent in the office with real estate clients to fishing on the river, outdoor adventures, and constant human interaction, they are exposed to a wide variety of environments. This hands-on upbringing helps shape confident, well-socialized companions.
We are passionate about breaking the stigma surrounding the American Bully by showcasing their true hearts—their loyalty, stability, and loving nature. We take pride in producing quality XL American Bullies that are not only impressive in appearance but also devoted, dependable family dogs. Every breeding is intentional, with a strong focus on health, temperament, and preserving the integrity of the breed.
