American Bully? Isn't that just a pitbull?

origin:

The American Bully originated in the United States during the 1980s and 1990s, developed by crossing the American Pit Bull Terrier and American Staffordshire Terrier with American bulldog, olde English bulldog, mastiff lines. The goal was to create a muscular, broad-built companion dog with a confident yet family-friendly temperament.

The American Bully Kennel Club (ABKC) was founded in 2004 to support and standardize the breed, and the United Kennel Club officially recognized the American Bully in 2013.

10-12 years

The American Bully is known for its confident, loyal, and affectionate temperament.

Despite its muscular and powerful appearance, the breed was intentionally developed to be a companion dog with a stable, family-friendly nature. American Bullies are typically gentle with children, eager to please their owners, and highly people-oriented.

With proper training and socialization, the American Bully is even-tempered, outgoing, and well-suited for both active households and relaxed home environments.

energy:

The American Bully has moderate energy levels, balancing playfulness with a calm, easygoing nature. While they enjoy daily walks, interactive play, and short bursts of activity, they are not as high-energy as more performance-driven breeds like the American Pit Bull Terrier.
